Day 1 Saturday
CAGLIARI,
THE CAPITAL AND SMALL HAMLETS
Afternoon
you’ll be greeted by your personal English-speaking Local Insider.
Scenic
drive through Cagliari most panoramic sites and stroll through the historical
city center. Hopefully we will get to see the iconic pink flamingoes. Welcome
aperitif on the old bastions.

Day 2 Sunday
SILKY
BEACHES, PREHISTORIC TRESURE AND HAUNTING MINES.
In
the morning you’ll be delighted with a rich and genuine breakfast made by local
products. Ready to drive to the south west coast. Visit of the stunning “Scoglio Pan di
Zucchero” and “Porto Flavia”, a dismissed mining port, incredibly dug into 50-meters’
high cliffs, overlooking the open sea. It features two 600-meters’ long tunnels
and a mobile arm. Afternoon visit an
impressive Roman temple set in bucolic scenery 9km South of Fluminimaggiore
called ‘Tempio di Antas’.

Day 3 Monday
SARDINIA
CHEESE AND WINE
Check-out
your Hotel in Cagliari and departure for a panoramic tour of the vineyards and
olive trees around the rural church of Santa Maria di Sibiola and visit a small
local wine producer. Visit the vineyards, the cellar and winetasting. Later on,
reach a modern milk processing factory operating in the dairy field for the
last 50 years. The company specializes in the production of typical Sardinian
cheeses and dairy products derived from sheep and goat’s milk of an exclusive
local origin. An itinerary along the
producing stages where you’ll discover the secret of CLA cheese that helps
maintain the balance of cholesterol levels in the blood. Cheese tasting. Drive
to Barumini village to admire Nuraghe Su Nuraxi, the Unesco-listed, prehistoric
marvel.

in a warm and traditional house located in a small village. The house has been
turned into an elegant inn, with all comforts. The breeze and crisp air from
the hills invites you in the romantic garden in the evening for a fresh sparkling cup of Vermentino wine.

Day 4 Tuesday
A DAY TOGHETHER WITH A
FAMILY, ITS FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS BETWEEN CHEESE LAB, FRESH PASTA AND BREAD.
Proceed to a small vivacious mountain resort. Its cool climate and alpine character (elevation is 796m) caught the imagination of the Piedmontese nobility, who came here to hunt boar in its forests. The experience with the family is held in an old typical ‘Barbaricina’ house, with outdoor courtyard and inner cellar. You will be delighted in the preparation of cheese, fresh pasta and bread and will become confident with the ancient craft and tools. In the afternoon, after a typical lunch with the family, you’ll be escorted for a walking tour of the surroundings and a stroll through the museum trail, along the streets of the historic district, visiting old houses, the Spanish prison from 15 centuries A.D. and meeting artisans and locals.

SINIS
PENINSULA: LAGOONS AND RICE-SHAPED SANDS
Drive north to explore the Punic-Roman ruins of Tharros and the snow-white beaches and bird-filled lagoons of the Sinis Peninsula. Later on, reach the ancient ‘borgo’ of
Riola sardo and visit an oil maker producing valuable oils enriched with spontaneous herbs and typical Sardinian fruits and modern packaging.
Overnight in the Sinis area. A charming house restored following the principles of organic architecture. In this hotel, located in a rural area, you can feel the spirit and the elegance of the ancient culture,
you can breath an atmosphere of the past, you can enjoy the real, authentic Sardinia.

PASTEL-COLOURED BOSA AND ALGHERO CATALAN CULTURE
After breakfast drive to pastel-coloured, alley-woven Bosa and its crowning-glory castle, then on a dramatic coastal drive to Alghero. The town radiates a Spanish air, its honey-coloured seawalls enclosing cobbled lanes and Gothic palazzi. Take a passeggiata (stroll) along the historic center and the seafront.

After breakfast drive to Cagliari airport with en-route stop to Santa Cristina an important nuraghic complex whose extraordinary
